IN THE BEGINNING ...

We met after the cricket at a pub, via my oldest school friend (and his uni friend). I knew he was the one when he told me he played cricket (my step-dad is a fanatic, so unless they liked cricket it was a no go!)

LEADING UP TO THE BIG DAY ...

Haha!!! We had originally booked a 3 day wedding in the northern rivers. Low and behold the day we went to check into the venue the venue was cut off by flood water, we had to rearrange the WHOLE WEDDING and last minute accommodation for 122 people at a pub.

ON THE DAY ...

We ended up finding an ugly community hall in Ballina, everyone from the wedding went to help set up the wedding on the morning of, with a few fairy lights it actually looked very spectacular! The whole wedding felt so united after the ordeal.

ON REFLECTION ...

It’s the people that attend that matter, even if it’s in an ugly hall in a car park in Ballina.

LOOKING FORWARD ...

If we can overcome this hurdle, we can do anything together.  The ordeal with the wedding was a total bonding experience, not just saying the i-do’s - I wouldn’t want to tackle life with anyone else, plus ... we still killed it on the dance floor!
