It's been a long time coming but the team here at Gather have finally got our website and online store up and running.  The beauty of this of course, is you can now shop from the comforts of home (yes ... even from bed, sipping on a hot cuppa on a lazy winters morning with crazy hair and all) or from your car when doing the school or kindy pick up - it's all too easy!  If you live locally but are short on time, you can always browse our store online and then pop in to purchase or if you live out of town or inter state, there is a small charge for freight.

Sandy, our in house plant expert, has been busy hunting down the most exquisite plants for the store with her eye for unusual and super healthy plants being favourably received by you to date.  The plants have been flying out the door (and our alleyway jungle) like hot cakes!  She has a truly stunning collection of cacti, succulents and easy care plants to fill any space as well as some beautiful dried flower arrangements that stay looking pretty for years to come.  Her latest drop of plants include the super cute Kalanchoe Beharensis or Elephant ears - you just have to come and check them out next time you're in the neighbourhood.

Having relocated to far more spacious premises (and come on, let's just admit it, more aesthetically pleasing and style driven premises thanks to our friends at The Dust Temple) we have a whole heap more space to fill with beautiful, thoughtful, locally crafted and locally grown gifts for you or a loved one.

Our other exciting news is that Gather have decided to invest in securing a wider range of the stunning, handcrafted, French Inspired furniture from The Rattan Collective.  Due to be delivered any day now by the rattan fairies are some cute swinging Coorabell chairs and a double Bangalow swing chair.  We have some comfy occasional chairs as well as some show stopping, mouth watering statement beds for your little prince or princess.

Our walls are currently adoring original botanical themed artworks by Victorian based acclaimed Artist Amy Wright along with two original prisma colour pencil on fibre board pieces by the super talented Fuzeillear (Claire Matthews) from the Sunshine coast.  Check out the gorgeous detail depicted in the photo below - Claire is amazing - you may want to follow her on instagram and check out the huge wall murals she has created.

We are also super stoked to be showcasing an original 1m x 1m painting by the lovely local talent Sacha Beverley (currently represented by 19 Karen Contemporary Artspace).  Titled 'The Landscape Within' it represents her interpretation of a landscape in her mind.  No matter how many times you view this painting,  you see something new every time.  Her clever use of colour, patterning and layering is intriguing.  Sacha's art studio is just a stones throw away from our store, down the back of The Dust Temple, where she also finds time to hold painting workshops for kids.  We are also showcasing some original abstract works by local Pru Bleasdale and some cute smaller sized prints from young creative talent Crystal Puemella.

Other locally sourced and crafted in store goodies include hand dipped all natural beeswax candles from Currumbin Valley, ceramics by Seasalt Designs by Sara and Mudhavi's ceramic beauties crafted just around the corner in Tugun.  Local sisters' Kate and Mel from Bubbles Organic is another in store key brand - all natural, organic AND affordable.

Well, signing off for now but thanks so much for all of the amazing local support and positive feedback we have received to date.  We are so excited to have moved on to bigger and brighter things with our new space and well awaited website and online store.  Have a fabulous week and to conclude, here's a little quote to finish off our very first blog ...
